To rescue Kiwi from the global covid-19 pandemic and bring her home
In April 2015 Kiwi sailed from La Grande Motte where she was under the spotlight at the Multihull boat show. It was the Grande Launch of the Nautitech Open 40 and as her new owners we were keen to get her to sea and try her out.
Kiwi's home in for the next 7 years was at the Sail Ionian charter base in Vlicho on Lefkahda.
Each year we stayed six to eight weeks on board and managed a litttle ove 6,000 nautical miles in all.. We travelled north as far as Corfu, south around the Peloponnese as far as Crete and east to Evia island, passing through the Corrinth Canal on 3 occasions and extensively around the Ionian islands..
The journey from Greece, out of the Mediterranean at Gibraltar, down to the anaries for the first of the January ARC, (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers), across to the Caribbean, Panama canal, out into the Pacific via Galapagos, Tahiti, Opua (NZ) and down to her new home in Auckland, New Zealand
Kiwi will become our base over the coming years travelling the New Zealand coast and entertaining friends and family who have fond memories aboard when they joied us for their Greek Odesey...
